Split Letter Monograms — Your Initial, Cut Clean
The split letter monogram — a big initial divided by your family name — is precision work. The letterform has to stay recognizable after the split, the name has to sit dead-center, and the whole piece has to hold together structurally when it’s cut. That’s laser geometry, and it’s exactly what our designer was built for.
Type your initial and name, and the designer builds the monogram live — real cut paths, not a raster mock-up — so you see precisely how the letter splits and how your name bridges it. Cut from real birch on an industrial laser, it arrives as one clean piece.
Front doors, mantels, nurseries, weddings: a monogram is the most personal sign there is, because it literally is you.

Common questions
- Does a split monogram work with any letter?
- Nearly all letters work, and the preview settles it instantly: build yours and look. The designer keeps the cut structurally sound, so fragile combinations are visible before they’re ever cut.
- What about long family names in the split?
- The layout adapts as you type and the live preview shows the fit. Very long names often look best slightly condensed or on a larger sign — both are one click, and you see the result immediately.
- Is the sign designer really free to use?
- Yes. Designing is free and there is no account required to start. You only pay if you decide to order the piece you designed, and the price is shown live while you design.
- Do I see the actual sign before I buy?
- Yes — the preview is generated from the same cut file our laser uses. What you see in the 3D preview is the geometry that gets cut, not an artist rendering or a mock-up someone emails you later.
- Who actually makes the sign?
- We do. Most Wanted Signs is the design studio of Big Laser Co, a real laser shop in Colorado running a 52-inch industrial RF laser. Nothing is dropshipped.
