Design Your Own Wood Sign — See It Before We Cut It
Most "design your own sign" sites are not what they sound like. Some UV-print your design onto MDF veneer. Some take your order first and email you a proof twelve hours later. Some are just design apps that hand you a file and wish you luck finding someone to make it.
This is the other thing: a real designer connected to a real laser. You type your text, pick a shape, a font, and a material, and a live 3D preview renders the exact geometry our laser will cut — every letter, every edge, every cutout. If a word is too long for the shape, you see it immediately, not after you paid.
When you order, the design you approved goes straight to a 52-inch industrial laser in our Colorado shop. No proofs to wait for, no surprises in the box. The preview is the product.
Start from a blank shape or one of the designs below, and make it yours. Designing is free — you only pay if you order.

Common questions
- Is the sign designer really free to use?
- Yes. Designing is free and there is no account required to start. You only pay if you decide to order the piece you designed, and the price is shown live while you design.
- Do I see the actual sign before I buy?
- Yes — the preview is generated from the same cut file our laser uses. What you see in the 3D preview is the geometry that gets cut, not an artist rendering or a mock-up someone emails you later.
- How is this different from Canva or a sign-design app?
- Design apps produce an image file — then you still need a shop to make it. Our designer produces a physical, laser-cut piece: the design tools and the laser are the same company, so what you design is what gets made.
- What if my text doesn’t fit the shape I picked?
- The designer shows you live. Text is laid out against the real cut geometry as you type, so a name that’s too long is visible instantly and you can resize, reword, or change shape before ordering.
- Who actually makes the sign?
- We do. Most Wanted Signs is the design studio of Big Laser Co, a real laser shop in Colorado running a 52-inch industrial RF laser. Nothing is dropshipped.
