Laser-Cut Leather, Done on Real Industrial Equipment
Leather is one of the best materials a laser touches — clean sealed edges, crisp engraving, no fraying — and one of the trickiest to do well. Tanning type, thickness, and burn control all matter, which is why leather work belongs on industrial equipment run by people who cut it regularly.
Our 52-inch RF laser handles full hides without breaking them down: patches, tags, straps, engraved panels, product components, and short production runs. Vegetable-tanned leather cuts especially clean and is our preferred stock for most jobs.
Leather projects are quoted individually — tell us what you’re making, the leather you have (or need), and the quantity, and we’ll come back with an approach and a price.
Ask about a leather projectCommon questions
- What kind of leather works best for laser cutting?
- Vegetable-tanned leather is the gold standard — it cuts cleaner and engraves with better contrast than chrome-tanned. If you’re not sure what your hide is, ask; we’ll help you identify it before committing to a cut.
- Can you cut a full hide without cutting it into pieces first?
- Usually yes — the 52-inch bed takes large hides whole, which keeps your material yield high and your pieces consistent.
- Do you engrave logos on leather goods?
- Yes — logo engraving on patches, tags, and finished goods is regular work. Vector artwork gives the crispest result.
